Shortcode Builder

The Product Category slider woocommerce plugin provides an easy-to-use Shortcode Builder that helps you display WooCommerce product categories in a customized and visually appealing format. You can showcase product categories using grid or slider, apply styling options, and configure display settings to match your store’s branding.

1. What is a Shortcode?

A shortcode is a small code snippet that enables you to display dynamic content anywhere on your WordPress site (pages, posts, or widgets). The plugin automatically generates a shortcode for each category design you create.

Example shortcode:

[dpcd_categories_design id="3771"]
Code language: JSON / JSON with Comments (json)

You can copy and paste this shortcode into any page, post, or widget to display the designed category section.

2. Shortcode Builder Interface

When you create or edit a category design, the Shortcode Builder appears at the top of the settings panel.

Key Components:

  • Shortcode Field – Displays the unique shortcode for your category design.
  • Copy Button – Quickly copies the shortcode for use in your WordPress content.
  • Instructions Section – Guides users on how to apply the shortcode.

Tip: Every time you modify a category design, the shortcode automatically updates to reflect the changes.
