Accessing Privacy Settings

1. Navigate to Lean GA4 Tracker > Settings in your WordPress dashboard
2. Select the Privacy & Consent tab from the top menu

Core Privacy Features

1. Google Consent Mode

• Purpose: Automatically adjusts tracking based on user consent
• Functionality:
• Respects GDPR, CCPA, and other privacy regulations
• Modifies GA4 and GTM behavior when consent is denied
• Recommendation: ? Enable for all sites collecting EU traffic

2. Default Consent State

• Options:
• Denied (Recommended for GDPR compliance): Blocks all tracking until consent is given
• Granted: Allows tracking until consent is revoked (use only if legally compliant)
• Legal Implications:
• “Denied” is required for GDPR compliance
• “Granted” may be used in non-EU regions (consult legal counsel)

3. Cookie Plugin Integration

• How It Works:
